It is with this hook that foot-africa.com revealed the final results of its survey launched on social networks, after the announcement of the five finalists for the 2024 African Ballon d'Or.
In an initiative aimed at involving football fans, the media asked Internet users to nominate their favorite for this prestigious trophy. At the end of the voting period, it was the Ivorian Simon Adingra, international and Brighton player, who obtained the majority of votes.
According to the results revealed by foot-africa.comAdingra largely dominated with 55% of the votes (287,126 participants), ahead of the Guinean Serhou Guirassy (33%, 182,614 votes) and the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi (5%, 26,687 votes).
The Elephants player impressed fans with his remarkable performances, particularly during CAN 2023, where he was one of the great architects of Côte d'Ivoire's journey.
“The African fans have decided: the Elephants prodigy largely dominated the votes after more than 520,000 votes,” wrote foot-africa.com on his Facebook page.
However, this survey remains indicative and does not predict the final verdict. The official results will be revealed on December 16, 2024during the CAF Awards ceremony.
