a player dies in a car accident
Provale announced this Tuesday the tragic death of Keilani Itae, a 17-year-old player from Stade Montois, following a car accident.
The news was relayed Monday evening by Southwest. His club as well as the players' union, Provale, confirmed the information. The young man, who had obtained his driving license at the beginning of the summer (now accessible from the age of 17), played in the junior category of Mont-de-Marsan.
“Words are lacking for all those who have known him since his arrival at the club in 2017, as well as at Grenade-Aire, where he played last year and this season in dual license,” Stade Montois said in a press release. In addition to the support measures intended for his teammates and supervisors, a fundraiser has been launched to support Keilani's family.
