Manchester City player arrested by Spanish police
While Manchester City faces a “trial of the century” with 115 accusations, including allegations of circumvention of financial fair play between 2009 and 2018, a new legal problem has recently entered the club's news.
Sky Blues midfielder Matheus Nunes was arrested by Spanish police at a nightclub.
According to information from El Mundo, the Portuguese player was involved in the theft of a cell phone, after someone photographed him in the toilet. The incident reportedly took place around 5:30 a.m. on the outskirts of Madrid, during the international break.
After being taken to the station to give a statement, Nunes was released. Despite this affair, he is still at Pep Guardiola's disposal while awaiting trial.
