Anthony Joshua receives bad news after his defeat by KO!
Anthony Joshua, now relegated to Ring Magazine's heavyweight rankings, is forced into an extended break after his KO loss to Daniel Dubois. Following this crushing defeat at Wembley, the British Boxing Board of Control suspended the British boxer.
This devastating knockout against compatriot Dubois led to a 28-day suspension, banning Joshua from fighting during that period. The two-time world heavyweight champion was hoping for a triumphant return, especially after losing his title to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, but he suffered a heavy defeat in front of a huge crowd at Wembley Stadium.
As required by the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports, a medical suspension is routinely imposed after a defeat by KO or TKO, thus justifying the decision of the British Boxing Board of Control.
However, with Joshua having no fights scheduled in the near future, this suspension may not disrupt his long-term goals. This defeat against Dubois marks only the fourth in his professional career.
