Manchester United and Ineos continue to be on the lookout for the brightest young talent in world football.

Developing young players into superstars has played a big part in Manchester United’s history and nothing has changed in recent years.

Erik ten Hag‘s squad is full of some of the world’s most exciting young prospects, with Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo recently named on the shortlist for the Kopa Trophy.

They are joined by other youngsters such as Amad Diallo and Toby Collyer who have enjoyed bright starts to the season, and it is clear that Ineos are determined to invest in youth after their first summer window in charge.

Ineos made five major signings over the summer, the oldest of which was 26-year-old Noussair Mazraoui.

Attention has now turned to the January transfer window and United have sent scouts to report back on an exciting 18-year-old winger.

Manchester United scout Bazoumana Toure

Ineos are targeting a new winger signing in 2025 and it seems they have their sights set on signing a youngster with lots of potential.

United have shown an interest in Tyler Dibling with sporting director Dan Ashworth a big fan of the Southampton ace who gave United problems in the 3-0 win earlier this month.

A report from Swedish outlet FotbollSkanalen now claims United are also showing an interest in 18-year-old winger Bazoumana Toure.

It claims the Red Devils are one of several Premier League clubs to send scouts over to watch Toure in action for Hammarby.

Arsenal, Wolves and Brighton have also shown an interest in the young winger, who has already scored six goals and registered three assists during his debut season in the Allsvenskan.

Sporting director makes Bazoumana Toure admission

United are always on the lookout for bright young talent and Toure is the latest on the club’s radar.

It seems the Hammarby forward has made quite the impact in Sweden and the club’s sporting director has conceded he will have to be sold soon.

Director, Mikael Hjelmberg, insists there is no concrete interest in Toure just yet but explained it is clear that scouts are watching him after several of them cancelled their visit when he was suspended for a recent match.

He admitted: “There are a lot of clubs coming to the match against Hacken (on Thursday).”

“We need to plan for a future without him,” Hjelmberg added. “Then if it happens this winter, next summer or even further than that – I don’t think so, we’ll see.

“But the longer we get to keep him the better.”

It seems Hammarby are resigned to losing their star winger at some point in the near future and United may have to pounce quickly if they want to beat their Premier League rivals to the signing of the Ivory Coast winger.

What has been said about Bazoumana Toure

Hammarby’s sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg told Fotboll Skanalen earlier this year when he signed that he was excited about his potential.

He said: “In “Bazou” we get a player with wit, speed and a very good ability to pass his opponent. It will be incredibly exciting to follow his development in Hammarby.”

Elaborating more about his style, he added: “Toure is more of a distinct winger, and has tremendous speed. He is extremely fast and has an ability to pass opponents with speed and finesse.”

Fotboll Skanalen talked up Toure’s ability in a comment piece earlier in the summer, following an impressive run of performances.

The Swedish outlet wrote: “Bazoumana Toure is constantly stepping up. The 18-year-old Ivorian is well-schooled and not only contributes offensively with his enormous speed and power.

“Even defensively, he takes responsibility and is flexible when needed. I am fully convinced that in time he will show that there is something very special about him. Toure looks to be learning things with each passing week.”
