The 2nd preliminary round of CAF Champions League will be marked by the entry into the lists of the traditional candidates, namely Esperance de Tunis (Tunisia), TP Mazembe (Democratic Republic of Congo), Al-Ahly (Egypt) and Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa).
This new edition of the flagship competition in Africa looks set to be a hotly contested affair, especially since several clubs have not hesitated to break the bank in the summer transfer window and have secured some very good local and foreign players.
It should be remembered that the Moroccan ogre, Wydad Casablancawill be missing from the 2024-2025 edition of the C1 for having finished 6th in the last Morocco championship.
