Sergio Ramos, it's over

On June 30, Sergio Ramos left Sevilla FC for the second time in his career and now finds himself looking for a new challenge, hoping to continue his career outside of Europe.

Although he has had regular discussions with clubs in MLS and Saudi Arabia, no deal has been reached yet. Ramos and his agents remain active in seeking new opportunities, and recently an interesting option has presented itself in Brazil.

An exotic departure for Ramos?

Botafogo expressed interest in the Spanish defender, and negotiations took place last week. However, according to ED, a deal was not possible due to the former Real Madrid player's financial demands, which the Brazilian club were not willing to meet.

This is not the first time that a Brazilian club has declined the opportunity to sign Ramos, as Vasco da Gama and Flamengo have also refused to reach an agreement. Corinthians have considered a proposal, but it is unlikely to materialise. Thus, the search for a new club for Ramos continues.
