Zinedine Zidane at the heart of a big revelation

Since leaving Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane has yet to take the reins of a new team. Although he expressed his desire to become the coach of the French national team, he has not yet made this wish come true. Currently, Zidane is enjoying precious family time, away from the football pitches.

Yet there is no shortage of offers for him to return to the forefront. He has been linked with taking over at several major clubs, such as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Olympique de Marseille, and even a return to Real Madrid has been mentioned. But so far, none of these opportunities have come to fruition, and Zidane remains non-committal.

Zidane's former teammate Christophe Dugarry recently weighed in on his situation. According to him, Zidane would be aiming for nothing less than the position of coach of the French national team, an ambition that seems to be his main objective.

“Everyone speaks for him. The rare times Zidane has spoken, he has clearly expressed his interest in the French team. At least he remains consistent in his intentions. He has been said to want to coach in Italy, England, or even Bayern Munich… but each time, he remains silent.“, explained the consultant this Wednesday on the airwaves of RMC.

“Where I agree with Jean-Michel (Larqué) is that it is possible that we will never see Zizou as a coach again. Yes, that is a possibility. However, Jean-Michel is wrong when he says that Zidane is not interested in the French team. Zizou is indeed interested in this position. If he has to return to service, his biggest dream remains to become the coach of the French team. (…) How long is he prepared to wait? I have no idea. It is a huge waste. I just want to say: “Thank you Didier (Deschamps) for everything you have accomplished”, and now I would like to see what Zizou could bring.”
