Gabriele Biancheri sends ‘Fergie time’ message Man Utd fans will love after brace for U18s, Wheatley responds
Manchester United’s U18 side have started the season on fire once again.
After marching to a treble last season, expectations are pretty high over what the new U18 squad can achieve.
Already signs are positive with consecutive wins to open the campaign, first with a 2-0 win over Manchester City – in which Gabriele Biancheri scored, along with Bendito Mantato.
Following this, Manchester United beat Leicester in the Premier League Cup – winning that one 2-1 thanks to a Biancheri brace.
Gabriele Biancheri sends message after brace vs Leicester
Biancheri seems almost unfair to put up against U18 teams at this point considering he seems far too good and really needs more of a challenge.
Biancheri has managed a goal contribution every 84 minutes so far this season, and after his latest contribution, he has shared a message with fans.
After the game, Biancheri took to his Instagram, writing “Fergie time”, followed by the United colours and a football.
This of course is in relation to the famous saying around Sir Alex Ferguson, due to the sheer amount of late winners United scored under his management.
After this message, he had replies from several of his teammates.
Ethan Wheatley wrote: “Standard”, which is very true at this stage considering Biancheri cannot stop scoring.
Tyler Fletcher also commented, writing: “Clutch.”
“I’ll win the pen no worries lad”, wrote Jacob Devaney. Meanwhile, Finley McAllister wrote: “The main man”.
Amir Ibragimov also sent a message writing: “Yes sirrr”.
Ibragimov himself was impressive as he returned to U18 action and even outlined his ambitions of making a senior debut this season.
Manchester United’s underdog in attacking prospects
In Manchester United’s academy right now, there are a handful of attacking prodigies who look likely to challenge the first-team spots sooner or later.
Biancheri is the underdog however of the three main options, which speaks to the talent United possess.
Chido Obi will likely become the main player of the trio upon his official arrival from Arsenal, with some reports stating he has been promised the third striker role during negotiations.
Finally, Wheatley is also in there, the only one to have senior appearances to his name, and yet for many he is the least likely to play at this level.
With so many exciting prospects, it will be tough for the two who are not selected to be a third choice to get minutes – therefore United must use the loan market.
