Karim Benzema turns to new project after leaving France
Karim Benzema turns the page on France and fully embraces his new life in Saudi Arabia.
Currently playing for Al-Ittihad, the former Real Madrid international expresses his happiness in this eastern country and plans to settle there permanently, even after his football career.
In a recent interview, Benzema shared his feelings about his new home and his future plans. “After football, I will stay here. There are many projects to develop in Saudi Arabia, both in football and in other areas. Who would have thought that one day the World Cup could be held here?” he said.
He also spoke of his admiration for Jeddah, noting that the city does not fit the stereotypes often conveyed. “You can find a lot of things there. It is a city that suits me perfectly. There is nothing missing. There is everything you could want, from the beach to the coffee,” he added.
In addition to his pleasant stay and quality of life, Benzema was also named ambassador for the 2034 World Cup, which could be held in Saudi Arabia. “It is an honor and a continuation of the evolution we have seen in recent years with the arrival of great players. It is a real gift. It will open new opportunities, people will come to discover and appreciate the true wealth of this country,” he concluded.
