Retired for a few weeks, Jurgen Klopp continues to make headlines. Former Liverpool player, Mario Balottelli made a terrible revelation about the German coach and designated him as the sole person responsible for his departure from Anfield.

Mario Balotelli recently spoke about his time at Liverpool and his relationship with manager Jürgen Klopp. At 34, the Italian striker is still playing, currently with Adana Demirspor in Turkey. His time in England, marked by moments of controversy, is particularly memorable, especially his time at Manchester City.

Indeed, Mario Balotelli is often associated with his time at Manchester City, where he helped the club win the Premier League in the 2011/12 season. However, his career has been marred by disciplinary issues, including being fined two weeks' wages for inappropriate behaviour. He is also known for his altercations with teammates, and even off-pitch incidents, such as the fire brigade being called to his home because of fireworks.

After a spell at City, he joined AC Milan in 2013. But in August 2014, he returned to the Premier League with Liverpool, then coached by Brendan Rodgers, to replace Luis Suarez, who had left for Barcelona.

Mario Balotelli has revealed that his relationship with Jurgen Klopp was almost non-existent. According to him, the two men only had one conversation before he left the club. In an interview with Sky Italia in 2016 and relayed this Tuesday by The Mirror, Super Mario let slip: “Klopp doesn't know me. I spoke to him once, he told me to go somewhere else, work hard and come back. So I said goodbye to them, and that we wouldn't see each other again.” said the Italian striker.

Reflecting on his time at Liverpool and AC Milan, Balotelli said he made no mistakes but was faced with difficult circumstances. “It wasn't anyone's fault. It wasn't an ideal environment for me. I didn't make any mistakes in my game or my behavior, but I got injured and that's not something I can control.”

He chose Nice for personal reasons, including the pleasant climate and team environment. “I originally chose Nice for the climate, I wanted to be somewhere relaxing but beautiful, where it’s hard to get out of the wrong side of the bed. The other reason I chose Nice is that there’s a good group of young players. We’re all about the same age.”

After his time in Nice, Balotelli continued to move between several clubs, passing through Marseille, Brescia, Monza, Sion and finally Adana Demirspor, where he recently made his return. His journey is a reflection of his unique personality and his career choices. Because, he always looks for environments that suit him. Today, Jurgen Klopp is retired and enjoys his time with his wife and children.
