On Monday morning, Diego Simeone spoke about João Félix, a player he finally included in Atlético Madrid's pre-season training camp in Hong Kong. The Portuguese international made headlines last weekend after scoring in the 1-3 win over Getafe, despite being insulted by his own fans. Simeone indicated that Félix's future will depend on his performances.

“He did well in the first 45 minutes he had the chance to play. He is an Atlético Madrid player and, as long as he is here, he will be judged on his work, as we do with everyone.”Simeone said, as quoted by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The Viseu native could therefore have a new chance to prove his worth next Tuesday against Kitchee, during a friendly match scheduled for 1 p.m.
