Nibombé Daré, barely appointed coach of the Hawks, at the center of a controversy!
In Togo, after Paulo Duarte resigned from his position as coach of the Hawks, Nibombé Daré was chosen to succeed him. This former Togolese defender, who coveted the position well before Paulo Duarte was recruited more than two years ago, will finally lead the national team.
The Togolese Football Federation has already made official the appointment of Nibombé Daré as the new coach of the Éperviers du Togo. Negotiations between the two parties are underway to finalize the details of the contract.
According to sources, Nibombé Daré would like a long-term contract to have time to properly prepare his team and implement his ideas. However, the Togolese football leaders, more cautious, would prefer a two-year contract to start. As for the salary, the Federation has aligned itself with Daré's demands to allow him to work in good conditions.
In addition to the salary, the discussions also concern the composition of Nibombé Daré's staff. The FTF would have preferred that the new coach work with qualified local assistants, but Daré would rather have a staff also coming from Europe. This desire has given rise to many comments in the press, some wondering why the former defender does not want to collaborate with his compatriots.
On the other hand, former Hawks midfielder Amewou Komlan maintains that his ex-teammate should come with his own staff, fearing that local assistants would create obstacles in the event of disagreement.
